First Gen Pixels, HTC M8 were flagship spec and aluminum bodied (plenty of survivors) and are averaging $40 on eBay. Bonus is stereo front firing speakers.

Get a used motorola - something like a G5 or G5s, you can usually pick one up on ebay for $60-70 if you’re patient.

Moto Gs were were good. Worked at Verizon a few years and bought my mother one if that holds any bearing.
